Nowadays, children always choose smart devices over conventional entertainment. Story Cinema understands the advantages of using smart devices and how much convenience it brings to the family. However, exposing young children to smart devices have more disadvantages than it may seem. The blue light harms our eyes, especially young children whose eyes are still developing and is vulnerable.

FAQ

1. What is the age recommendation for Story Cinema?

It is recommended for children above 3 years old due to small parts. However, it is suitable for children under 3 years old with adult supervision. Young infants can use Story Cinema by listening to the audio storytelling (without watching projection- dim the brightness level and cover the lens with cap) or the music lullaby (included). Trust us. They will love lying down with you or by themselves and listening to the lullaby! 

2. Is Story Cinema battery-operated?

Yes! It runs on 4xAAA batteries. Compatible with alkaline and rechargeable batteries.

3. How long does the battery last?

Depending on the batteries used, there will be a variation in the duration. On a normal basis, duracell batteries will last an estimation of 8-9 hours when played non-stop on repeat mode and with brightest light.

4. What is the average length of each story?

Each scene is about 35 seconds long and there are 7 scenes in each story. So it is about 4 minutes and 5 seconds long for one story! 

There is a replay function on the projector for up to 4 times, so it will be 16 minutes and 20 seconds long for one story on repeat mode (4 times).

5. Is there warranty for Story Cinema?

After receiving the product, please do check it immediately. Test batteries are included in the projector. Once checked, do change the test batteries out to new batteries! 

If there are any technical issues, please write in to us at help@toppingskids.com within 2 weeks after receiving the product. We will help you solve the issue, or have a 1-to-1 exchange on a case-by-case basis. If there are any technical issues (unless misuse of product) within 6 months, feel free to write in to us as well, we will do our best to solve it, together with the HQ.

6. Can the story be paused or restarted?

Yes! Press the “PLAY/STOP” button to Play, Stop or Pause the story. You can restart the story by switching off and turning the projector on again, and press PLAY!

7. How often are new stories released?

New stories are released monthly in KOREA HQ, however, we will bring them into Singapore on an alternative month basis or depending on the demands! 

8. Will there be storage for new stories?

Currently we are in discussion with the HQ to bring in storage for the new cartridges. For now, you can place your child’s go-to stories in the current cartridge box, and place the remaining cartridge in an easily accessible transparent box! Or any box that protects the cartridges when not in use but easily reached/opened by children.
